Everyday is a MOTHERS' day in ISLAM..!!
How Islam honours MOTHERS ..!
- Mothers are given utmost respect in Islam-

1. A person came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: Who among the people is most deserving of a fine treatment from my hand? He said: Your mother. He again said: Then who (is the next one)? He said: Again it is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He said: Then who (is the next one)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Again, it is your mother. He (again) said: Then who? Thereupon he said: Then it is your father. In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Qutalba, there is no mention of the word" the people". Sahih Muslims Book 032, Number 6180:

2. The Messenger of Allah said: The major sins are to believe that Allah has partners, to disobey one's parents, to commit murder, and to bear false witness (Bukhari, Muslim).

3. Jahimah came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said, "Messenger of Allah, I desire to go on a military expedition and I have come to consult you. He (PBUH) asked him if he had a mother, and when he replied that he had, he said, "Stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet." Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4939

4. A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have committed a serious sin. Can I do any act of penitence?" He asked him if he had a mother, and when he replied that he had not, he asked if he had a maternal aunt. On his replying that he had, he said, "Then do kindness to her." Transmitted by Tirmidhi.Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4935

5. Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "If anyone separates a mother from her child, Allah will separate him from his friends on the Day of Resurrection.” Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it.Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3361

6. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would listen to the crying of a lad in the company of his mother, in prayer, and he would recite a short surah or a small surah. Sahih Muslim Hadith 951
